Carlos has extensive international business experience. He has worked for various multinational corporations, and has had major responsibilities for sales and operations for Latin America. In addition, Carlos has business start-up experience and business consulting experience. He has worked for IBM, Elexco International, Proxima, and Abitibi Consolidated and has undertaken independent international assignments. He holds a B.S. from the University of Argentina and an M.B.A. from New York University. Carlos lives in New York City and has two daughters Flavia and Lorenza. Carlos is a native of Argentina and is fluent in Spanish and English.
Eric Di Monte, Chief Strategic Officer
Eric has over 15 years experience in the recruitment field where he has worked on both corporate and agency environments. His skills focus on business relationship building, project management, sourcing and interviewing, along with an adaptability to take on broad tasks and varied responsibilities. He was born in to Italian and Argentinean parents, relocating to Argentina from the age of 3 until age 12. His family then moved to Sydney, Australia where he completed high school studies and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Eric has been in New York since 2001 with his wife and son. He is fluent in both English and Spanish.
Oscar Scarano, Chief Technology and Architectural Officer
Oscar holds a degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of Buenos Aires. With extensive experience in web applications and software analysis and implementation. He has been involved in many successful internet projects from the begining of the World Wide Web. Founder of StageGlobal, an IT solution provider with a unique approach to consolidated corporate communication strategies, and native of Argentina,Oscar is fluent in Spanish and English.
Ruben Abramovich, Chief Mobile and New Technologies Officer
Ruben holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He has accumulated a wide and varied technical and project management career working on successful avionics programs for General Electric, ITT and British Aerospace spanning to mobile consumer communications products for Lucent Technologies, Philips and Motorola. Ruben has extensive project, program management and client/partner relationship management experience. He has led wireless development teams through the complete life-cycle of product development across design centers; his program management professional service experience includes having successfully managed the implementation and launch of IT infrastructure projects for Avaya North America from Buenos Aires. Ruben was born in Buenos Aires, raised in the U.S. and has Native fluency of English and Spanish.
Violeta Alba, Chief Content Officer / Conference Manager
A native of Argentina, Violeta holds a Bachelor´s degree in Communication Sciences & Journalism from the Universidad Nacional de La Plata (UNLP), and a Radio and TV Announcer Associate Degree from Escuela Terciaria de Estudios Radiofónicos (ETER). Violeta has extensive experience in the broadcasting industry and has been working for several radio stations since 2001 as a host, an announcer and a news producer. She teaches Radio & Communication in a Media College and a High School, and as a voice over talent she records commercials, narrations, and different types of audios both in English and Spanish.
Guillermo Fraire, Business Development Director
Guillermo is a professional with broad experience in marketing and advertising for Latin American markets. Guillermo has been a marketing manager at Unilever and has worked as a marketing consultant focused on branding and innovation for leading brands of Argentina and Brazil. Guillermo has also led the creation of Mirasol, an independently owned advertising agency. He holds a Business Management degree from the University of Buenos Aires, an Advertising Art Direction degree from the College of the Argentine Association of Advertising Agencies and a Master’s Degree in Marketing (State University of New York).Guillermo was born in Argentina and is fluent in Spanish and English. He has 2 children: Ana Lucía and Sebastián.
Luis Escobar, Managing Editor
Luis Escobar got his masters in Philosophy in La Habana, Cuba and taught at several institutes of higher education. After relocating to the United States, Luis Escobar worked as a translator and business analyst for Moody’s Investors Services. Luis then started his journalism career working for a short time at el diario/La Prensa then moved quickly to The Associated Press as a journalist and copy editor. Gaining 10 years plus experience moved to The Wall Street Journal Interactivo and Dow Jones Newswires. While at WSJ and Dow Jones he continued to study behavioral finance, behavioral economics and international markets at New York University. He also worked doing research and consulting for Fortune 500 companies.
Alejandro Sacasa, Chief Media Officer
Alejandro has been working in the Latin media industry since 1995, and has been involved with projects in broadcast and cable television, internet, and mobile telephony. Most recently he was the General Manager of Nicaragua's leading television station. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Williams College and a Masters of Business Administration degree from the Leonard Stern School of Business at New York University. Although Alejandro is a native of Nicaragua, he grew up in Miami, and is fluent in Spanish and English.
Alejandra Tovar, Summits and Events Manager
Alejandra has been active as a producer and creative in the media industry since 1999, working in film, radio, television, and live music. Her experience includes trade marketing and promotions for record labels, art direction for video and animation projects, and production of national and international concerts. She has also worked as a director and producer on media campaigns for social causes, and has extensive experience in graphic design for publicity applications. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the National Autonomous University of Mexico in Mexico City. Originally from Mexico, she currently lives in New York.
Jazmin Chavez, Contributing Editor
Jazmin serves as an advocate and strategist for immigrant rights and has dedicated her professional life to becoming an effective social media strategist, justice innovator and movement entrepreneur for communities in need. She is a featured writer for Being Latino, Ms. JD, Fox News Latino and currently serves as the social media strategist for East Willy B: an original web series and the American Bar Associations’ Commission on Women. Jazmin holds a degree in Ethnic Studies, History and Leadership Studies from the University of Colorado and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.
Sebastian Mignola, Chief Country Manager Brazil
Sebastian has 14 years of International Sales Experience, having lived in different countries such as Argentina, Spain, Italy, USA and Brazil. He studied Business Administration in Buenos Aires and speaks Spanish, English, Italian and Portuguese. He now lives in Sao Paulo with his family, where he develops International Business and represents LatinVision in Brazil. In addition, Sebastian has been a Basketball Referee for 23 years and has participated in several International Competitions.
Betty Wong, Chief Country Manager China
Betty is a global marketer, entrepreneur and educator with a special focus on China and a track record of new product launches. Born in Hong Kong and raised in New York, she is as comfortable in Beijing and Shanghai as she is in London, Paris, Toronto or her home cities. Betty has worked with Carlos on projects since the 1990s. She is a business and marketing consultant who has owned a public relations firm and worked in advertising and sales in addition to strategic marketing. She has a BS from NYU’ Stern School and an MBA from Columbia.
