Univision gets all rights to Chivas de Guadalajara by latinvision media
Univision Deportes will become the U.S. home of
Chivas de Guadalajara, one of the most popular soccer teams in the US and
Mexico. The multi-year deal is effective July 2013 and includes all languages.
“This deal reinforces Univision’s commitment to
provide the best and most relevant programming to Hispanic audiences,” said
Cesar Conde, president of Univision Networks. “We are pleased to continue to
deliver the culturally relevant content our audience seeks, while creating
opportunities for our partners to connect with the fastest growing consumer
segment in the nation.”
The agreement will grant Univision Deportes the
rights to all of Chivas’ Liga MX, Copa Mexico and worldwide friendlies.
